Join us in celebrating Dakota Jones, CaRE²’s newest Graduate Student.
Dakota is an enrolled member of the Lumbee Tribe and a Ph.D. student in Health Behavior Research at the University of Southern California. Her work focuses on advancing health equity through research on HPV vaccination, cervical cancer prevention, and community-informed approaches to data collection and evaluation.
As one of few Native scholars in cancer prevention research, Dakota is committed to strengthening advocacy and scholarship that address the disproportionate burden of cancer in Native communities. We are thrilled to welcome her to the CaRE² community and look forward to the impact of her research and leadership.
