Training Tuesday Spotlight: Thomas Sutherland
CaRE² Health Center is excited to spotlight Thomas Sutherland, a post-baccalaureate trainee pursuing research focused on acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
Thomas earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Florida. Motivated by a passion for cancer treatment and patient care, he aspires to become a physician and make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients affected by cancer.
After spending two years as an undergraduate researcher in the Lamba Lab, Thomas continues his research as a post-baccalaureate trainee, studying the genetic factors underlying AML treatment. His work contributes to a deeper understanding of cancer biology and supports ongoing efforts to advance cancer research and treatment.
Outside the lab, Thomas enjoys skiing, hiking, visiting Florida’s beaches and springs, and spending time with friends and family.
The CaRE² Health Center is proud to support Thomas as he continues to develop his research skills and pursue his goals in medicine. Join us in celebrating Thomas and his contributions to cancer research!
Congratulations, Thomas!
