Training Tuesday!

Meet William Hernandez

CaRE² is proud to highlight William Hernandez, a first-year PhD student in Epidemiology at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC).

William earned his MPH from USC, with a concentration in Biostatistics and Epidemiology, and his B.A. in Psychological Science from UC Irvine. During his MPH program, he developed a project examining differences in lifestyle behaviors, comorbidities, and quality of life among survivors of obesity-related and non-obesity-related cancers in collaboration with the Comprehensive Cancer Center of Puerto Rico.

As he continues his doctoral training, William is interested in using population-based research to examine the social determinants of health among at risk cancer survivor populations. His work highlights the important role of epidemiology in understanding cancer outcomes and identifying factors that shape the experiences of cancer survivors.

We’re excited to support William as he continues his journey in cancer research and develops the skills to make meaningful contributions to the field. 🔬🧬

Join us in welcoming and celebrating William Hernandez as part of the CaRE² community!
