Congratulations to CaRE² Early-Stage Investigator, Dr. Kristianna Fredenburg!

The CaRE² Health Center is proud to congratulate Kristianna Fredenburg, MD, PhD, a CaRE² Early-Stage Investigator, on receiving a $600,000, three-year grant through the James and Esther King Biomedical Research Program from the Florida Department of Health.

Dr. Fredenburg’s project, “Characterization and Therapeutic Implications of ABCC1/CD206 Niche in Advanced-Stage Laryngeal Cancer,” will investigate tumor cellular niches in advanced-stage laryngeal cancer. This research aims to advance precision-based treatment strategies and improve outcomes for patients with advanced-stage disease.
