CaRE2 Celebrates Dr. Sulma Mohammed on New Research Funding
CaRE2 Health Center is proud to congratulate Sulma Mohammed, DVM, PhD, on receiving funding to support her innovative breast cancer research project, Silent Highways: Targeting the Lymphatic Network to Halt Breast Cancer Metastasis.
The project focuses on understanding how breast cancer cells travel through the lymphatic system, one of the earliest and most important pathways involved in cancer spread. Dr. Mohammed’s research will investigate how the lymphatic environment may influence tumor survival, immune evasion, and metastatic potential.
Through this work, Dr. Mohammed aims to advance our understanding of the biological mechanisms that contribute to breast cancer metastasis and help identify opportunities for more effective approaches to cancer treatment.
